From the Studio

2025 is off to a huge start! I’m preparing for an art show in Dayton next month, making work for my Senior Thesis Exhibition, and trying to take in every precious moment of my final semester of art school.

Having been through a few distinct phases in my life, I recognize deeply how temporary my current situation is. I’m trying to slow down and remember all the best parts. Trekking into the college campus buildings in freezing cold snow, laughing with friends in the basement studio, finishing my studies with my three favorite professors— I look forward to remembering these days fondly.

My projects right now include making an edition of the Dayton cityscape prints, cutting a very large 2-layered linoleum, and etching a new image on a smaller zinc plate. I have a lot of collagraphs on deck, and a medium-sized landscape painting on the easel in its final stages. I have a mixed media landscape being wrapped up, as well. I expect to open the shop section of this website in the next week or so. Keep checking back for more things, and send me an email to hsloneartstudio@gmail.com if there’s something you’d like me to make for you.

8 weeks to go until my Senior Exhibition!
